And started the government in coordination with the United Nations (in the February 17, 2012) to transfer the residents of Camp Ashraf (Camp New Iraq), who number about 3,400 people to the camp of freedom near the Baghdad airport west of the capital in installments, the first transfer of the elements of the PMOI out of Diyala province, since April In 2003, dimension that emphasized the mission of the United Nations to help Iraq (UNAMI), the end of January 2012 that the infrastructure facilities in the camp comply with international humanitarian standards set forth in a memorandum of understanding signed between the Iraqi government and the United Nations, but the organization complained that the camp lacks the most basic services .

It is noteworthy that one of the elements of the Organization of Iran (PMOI) was killed and 12 others, and wounded 13 element of the Iraqi army during clashes between the two parties in Camp Ashraf in the eighth of April 2011, while the organization said killed 28 and injured 300 of its members against the backdrop of clashes.
