The Minister of Planning / the acting Minister of Finance chaired an expanded meeting of the General Administration of Al-Rasheed Bank

The Minister of Planning / the acting Minister of Finance, Prof. Ali Yusuf Ali Shukri, chaired an expanded meeting of the General Administration of Al-Rasheed Bank in the presence of all the members.

During the meeting, discussion of the reality of the operation of banking in the whole of Iraq and the development of branches of Al-Rasheed Bank inside and outside Iraq. The Minister has confirmed at the beginning of the meeting the need for it should be the introduction of management systems and comprehensive systems of modern electronic in all Iraqi banks to be able to keep up with the great development witnessed by the world in this area. The Minister has stated further opening of new branches of the bank but with the aim of expanding the provision of banking services as well as being a kind of investment and enhances the strength and durability of the national economy and fortifying economic relations with various countries. He pointed to obtain the approval of the Central Bank of the United Arab Emirates to open a new branch of Al-Rasheed Bank in Dubai that have already opened another branch in the Romanian capital, Bucharest, and efforts are underway to open another branch in Brazil. He pointed out that the Turkish government has shown its willingness to open a similar branch in Ankara.

The Minister called to be these branches in the capitals of the world at a high level of sophistication befitting the economic potential of Iraq.

Mr. Kazim Nashoor, the Director General and Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Rasheed Bank reviewed steps that have been taken by the General Administration for the development of the reality of the banking business in the country. Indicating that, it was found on the bank of the experiences of many countries, including the Lebanese and Jordanian banks and other. Pointing out that it is possible to buy a sophisticated management system and administrative cadres are prepared to take the required action in this system are about the process of modernization and permanent, according to the latest developments taking place in the world in this field.

This meeting was attended by Mr. Inspector General of the Ministry of Finance Maher Hussein Rashid and Director General of the Department of Finance and Administration at the Ministry, Mr. Faisal Manhal Tayeh.
