The Secretary-General of the United Nations Ban Ki-moon, for the continuation of his feelings seriously concerned about the humanitarian and security situation in Iraq, stressing that the United Nations and the international community who observed closely the current political developments in the country.

alt He called on the Secretary-General in a statement issued by his spokesman and seen by "Twilight News", all the political parties in Iraq to adhere to the timetable set by the Constitution to nominate the name of the President of the Council of Ministers.

The statement also called on Iraqi parties to "prevail sanity and wisdom of all Iraqi leaders, urging them to form a broad-based government acceptable to all components of Iraqi society."

The Secretary-General added, "This should be a government able to mobilize the nation to face the threat posed by the organization of the Islamic State "Daash" in order to achieve security and stability in Iraq. "
