Kurdistan banks on holiday for inventory accounting

ERBIL, July 1 (AKnews) – Banks in the Kurdistan Region are on holiday today due to inventory accounting procedures, said the general director of banks in the region.

BankAdham Karim Darwesh added: "Banks in Iraq have two days for accounting transactions and money. One on January 2 and the second is on July 1, on which the transactions of the past six months should be accounted.”

Darwesh added that during these two days bank staff members only perform accounting duties and citizens' applications are not dealt with.

Erbil, July 1 (Rn) - The Director-General of the banks in the Kurdistan region said on Sunday that all financial transactions in the banks of the region will stop for two days to conduct an inventory of my account for the last six months of this year.

He explained Adham Kareem Darwish told the Kurdish news agency (Rn) today, "according to the Iraq banks, the banks have Batlten each year, to conduct an inventory of a bank, and the organization of the calculation for the past six months."

He noted that the "break the first start of the first two days of the month of January for the organization of the accounts of the previous six months, while the holiday the second in the first two days for the month of July of each year to organize the process in the banks for the first six months of the year."

Darwish continued by saying that "banks will not promote any special treatment to citizens during the two holidays, and will stop financial transactions in banks, while banks preoccupied Mnzbo an arithmetic process inventory."
