Kikhany: the transfer of 90% of the powers of the Ministry of Construction to the provinces during the next two weeks

BAGHDAD / Center Brief for the Iraqi Media Network (IMN) - Minister of Construction and Housing and public municipalities Tariq Kikhany stressed that the ministry is preparing for the transfer of 90% of powers to local governments during the next two weeks.

He said Kikhany's (IMN) "The ministry will transfer a large number of powers to provincial councils during the next two weeks," without explaining the mechanisms that will be followed for the transfer of these powers.

It did not name Kikhany departments and institutions of the ministry, which will begin the transfer of powers, but stressed that the transfer of powers ratio would be about 90%, and the provincial governments and local councils will be a party in the process.

Kikhany He added that "there is a concerted effort by the field staffs for the purpose of advancement of the construction projects and the completion of the housing units and other projects that serve the citizen".

The Minister of Construction and Housing Tariq Kikhany earlier that there are workshops conducted with the competent authorities for the transfer of powers to the provinces.
