***** World Bank: We seek to lend Iraq billion dollars

BAGHDAD / Center Brief for the Iraqi Media Network (IMN) - World Bank Vice-Chairman for the Middle East and North Africa Hafez Ghanem said that the bank focuses on helping Iraq, and make efforts to get out of this crisis.
Information Office of the Foreign Minister Ibrahim al-Jaafari said that the recent talks with Hafez mechanisms of the World Bank, and the support they can contribute to it to mitigate the decline in oil price crisis, and its impact on development in Iraq, and on the sidelines of meetings of the General Assembly of the United Nations in New York.
Jaafari said that "Iraq is passing through exceptional circumstance, as Ajtaanna waves of corruption, and today we have a problem in the decline in oil prices, as well as accumulations since the previous regime which Iraq Cable Indebted time," adding that "Iraq is working to take advantage of the internal sources of wealth."
He continued "We are working on the rehabilitation of devastated cities; therefore ask you a project to help Iraq, and to give us flexibility."
For his part, maintained that the bank confirmed focuses on helping Iraq and make efforts to get out of this crisis, saying that "we are seeking to increase support for Iraq."
He pointed out that "the Bank is currently working with the International Fund and the Ministry of Finance to provide loan to Iraq billion dollars," adding that "the process is not easy but we are trying to provide the amount before the end of 2015".
