The representative of the World Bank: "billion dollars Iraq's program size
Mary Helen Bank representative in Iraq that the World Bank's programme in Iraq amounted to a billion dollars.
She said in a press release yesterday: "the size of the Bank's support for its programme in Iraq, the billion dollars to cover a number of important sectors and infrastructure (water/energy/roads/education/health/private sector/social protection)".
She said: "until the end of July last year, 55 percent of funds earmarked for World Bank projects in Iraq, in addition to other funds will be disbursed by the end of 2012.
Noted: "half of World Bank projects in Iraq almost to be financed from the Trust Fund for Iraq, which will be closed on 31-12-2013, most of the projects in the portfolio of Bank projects in Iraq had achieved its objectives".
Helen stated "these projects cover a wide range of challenges related to development and reconstruction, particularly in the areas of education, health, transport, water and electricity as well as other areas"./ended 2
