Erbil, September 17 / September (AKnews) - Iraqi Deputy Prime Minister, Monday, announced the formation of a joint committee between the Kurdistan Regional Government and the federal government in Baghdad to resolve the problems that arise in the oil and gas file between the two sides until the adoption of a law for the sector.

The file management oil, which lacks law organized, one of the most outstanding problems between the KRG and the federal government, as was announced last week by the two sides to reach an agreement on the payment of Baghdad dues foreign companies operating in the oil sector in the Region, the requirement to increase the latter oil exports scheduled within National exports gradually to reach 250 thousand barrels per day from next year.

According to Rose Nuri Shaways of the Kurdistan News Agency (Rn), that "the Government of the region and the Iraqi government have reached today an agreement to form a joint committee comprising representatives of the Federal Ministry of Oil and the Ministry of Natural Resources in the region to solve problems that arise in the file of oil and gas and monitor the implementation of agreements between the two sides in this particular until the adoption of a law for the oil and gas sector in the country. "

Shaways said that "the solution to the outstanding problems between Erbil and Baghdad regarding the oil and gas sector would boot to solve other problems between the two parties."

The decision of the Commission on oil and gas in the Iraqi parliament Qassim Mohammed had indicated (Rn) earlier to form a joint committee headed by the Minister of the Federal Oil Abdul Karim Luaibi and Minister of Natural Resources Kurdistan Regional Government Ashti Hawrami to resolve the file draft law of oil and gas in Iraq, while the Commission held two meetings so far.

It is said that there are three bills currently in the Iraqi parliament, was presented first project in 2007, but due to the failure to reach a consensus on it hung in the House of Representatives, and the second project was presented by the Commission on oil and energy parliamentary, either third project has been sent to the House of Representatives in 2011 by the Deputy Prime Minister for Energy Affairs Hussain al-Shahristani, however, none of these projects have not yet attained ratification by Parliament so far.
