Maliki's coalition welcomes the nomination of Khaled al-Obeidi to the defense portfolio

MP for the coalition of state law, Abdul Salam al-Maliki, Saturday, that the coalition supports the nomination of a member of the Iraqi List, Khaled al-Obeidi to fill the defense portfolio.

Maliki said, "The state law considers appropriate in a personal-Obeidi and acceptable to all parties and to professionalism and his military experience and his addition to being a good advantage of the knowledge and know-how full the affairs of the Iraqi army."

He added, "The prime minister Nuri al-Maliki does not oppose the nomination of al-Obeidi, or the current defense minister and agency Saadoun al-Dulaimi to fill the defense portfolio that both cast admissibility has because of their experience and their independence," stressing that "the rule of law would welcome the nomination of any of the two characters to the ministry."
