[ltr]The House voted in its 29th ordinary session held under the chairmanship of Dr. Salim al-Jubouri, President of the Council and in the presence of 180 deputies on Thursday 27/4/2017 to condemn the Turkish aggression on Iraqi territory and the law of Basra, Iraq's economic capital.

The Presidency decided to postpone the first reading of the health insurance bill submitted by the Health, Environment, Labor and Social Affairs Committees at the request of the Health Committee.

The Council concluded reading a report and discussion of the proposed law on the operation of the first graduates submitted by the committees of higher education and scientific research, financial and legal.

MP Ammar Tohme said that the law proposal will provide an opportunity to benefit the state institutions by providing them with efficient elements.

For his part, Mr. Turhan al-Mufti, representative of the government, said that the government has its own observations on the proposed law, which will be finalized through meetings with the concerned committees soon.

Deputy Hamed al-Khudari pointed out that the proposals do not have financial obligations but rather rationalize the dues. He called for a reduction in the number of advisors and executive assistants in the local councils.
