Iraq has been elected as deputy chairman of the UN General Assembly, a foreign ministry source said on Wednesday.
"The Republic of Iraq was elected to the post of Vice-President of the General Assembly of the United Nations, the 73rd session of the Assembly," the source said in a statement.
It should be noted that Iraq has been elected during the past few years as president and deputy and a member of more than 17 Arab, regional and international organizations. Ending /
