The Center for International Astronomy, based in the UAE capital Abu Dhabi, issued a statement specifying the first day of Eid al-Adha, pointing out that the screening of the crescent will be on Saturday, August 11, which will also see a solar eclipse of the sun.

The center said in a statement issued by Alsumaria News that "some Islamic countries will investigate the moon of the month of Dhu al-Hijjah (Eid al-Adha) on Saturday, August 11," indicating exhaustion. "On that day the moon will be lost before the sun in the east of the Islamic world, In the rest of the Islamic world. "

"He will remain after sunset for a period not allowed to see him from all the Islamic world, not by the naked eye and not using the telescope, so it is supposed to be the Sunday Sunday for the month of November, and be on Monday, August 13, the first day of the month of Dhu al-Hijjah, Tuesday 21 August and be the first day of Eid al-Adha on Wednesday 22 August.

The director of the center, Mohamed Odeh, that "despite the scientific data relating to the vision of the Eid al-Adha is known and accurate, the determination of the date of Eid al-Adha linked to other factors determined by official bodies concerned with the official announcement."

He pointed out that "it is not unlikely that some countries accept certificates of seeing the Crescent on Saturday, despite the lack of scientific validity, so it may be the first day of Eid al-Adha on Tuesday, August 21 in some Muslim countries."

On the other hand, the world will see a partial eclipse of the sun on Saturday, August 11, and the sun will account for 74 percent of the diameter of the solar disk as seen from the maximum area of the eclipse, which lies east of Russia.

"The partial eclipse will be seen from North Asia, northern Europe and northeast North America, starting at 8:59 am GMT and ending at 11:33 am," he said.
