The President of the Republic Fuad Masoum informed Prime Minister Haider al-Abadi of the Eid al-Adha holiday within the 15-day period, after which the president of the House of Representatives is called to convene. The date of calculating the holiday - within the constitutional period on the second of next September as the maximum limit for the parliamentary session chaired by the oldest member.

The adviser to the President of the Republic Shirwan al-Waeli, «morning», that «the President of the Republic Fuad Masoum told Prime Minister Haider al-Abbadi to calculate the holiday of Eid al-Adha within the 15-day period that should be called after the infallible House of Representatives to convene», and al-Waeli, that «the maximum For the first meeting of the House of Representatives headed by the oldest members and within the constitutional terms is the second of September next ».

For his part, the Legal Advisor to the President of the Republic Amir Kanani: "The Federal Court has ratified the names of the winners of the elections of the House of Representatives at the end of official working hours before the start of Eid al-Adha holiday."

Al-Kanani told al-Sabah that he would present Monday the legal opinion of the president of the republic on the issuance of a presidential decree and the calculation of constitutional terms, adding that "there is partial calculation of the Eid al-Adha holiday within the 15-day period in which the president of the republic should call the new parliament To meet or not ».

The Kanani, that «in the event of calculating the Eid holiday within the legal period will be the meeting on the second of September next, but if counted off days off the constitutional period the meeting will be held at a different time from this».

The legal expert Tareq Harb expected to issue in the next few days a presidential decree to hold the first session of the new parliament and give two or three days to the winning deputies in order to arrange their affairs and attendance, indicating that next Thursday may be the last day of issuing the decree to witness the Monday of the week Followed by the first parliamentary sessions.

"The first decree issued after the ratification of the election results is a presidential decree. It could have been issued after ratification but it could be within 15 days and it should be issued in the coming days," Harb said in an exclusive statement to al-Sabah.

He added that «the ratification of the Federal Court on the names of the winners were on August 18, and from that date must begin the period of 15 days for the holding of the meeting in accordance with the Constitution», noting that «the Constitution also gave power to the President of the Republic to extend the period if "There was no war, no emergency or political matters, but with two first decrees."
