The Central Bank of Iraq responds to the frequented news surrounding the postponement of the implementation of the Iraqi currency project and the deletion of the three zeros.

At this time we stress the importance and the vitality of this to our country, economy and society. Thus, the requirements for the coordination and cooperation between us and the two authorities, the Legislative and Executive, has led to the adjustment of the timing of the implementation.

This is despite the fact that the Central Bank of Iraq has completed the majority of the procedures.

Moreover, the state of the new currency in circulation (once the printing is complete) must be at the beginning of the year (any year) and NOT throughout/during the year.

Thus, this is our intent, and we hope to prevent the promotion of any news that has not been issued by the Central Bank of Iraq. Respectfully, The Central Bank of Iraq Baghdad
