Union of Arab Banks holds its annual conference in Beirut 15 November

With the participation of more than 700 leading banking and financial figures, central bank governors and Arab planning, finance and economy ministers, the Union of Arab Banks will hold the annual Arab Banking Conference of 2018 at its 24th session in Beirut on 15-16 / 11/2018. Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Arab Monetary Fund (AMF), awarded him the "Leadership Vision 2018" award.




The Chairman of the Union of Arab Banks, Mohammed Al-Jarrah Al-Sabah, announced the decision of the Union of Arab Banks to award the "Leadership Vision 2018" Award to Dr. Abdulrahman Abdullah Al-Humaidi, Director General of the Board of Directors of the Arab Monetary Fund in recognition of his achievements and proposals. The various economic, financial and monetary authorities of the member states of the Arab Monetary Fund, and support the efforts of the Arab countries to achieve economic stability and enhance financial inclusion and the establishment of the elements of sustainable development, in addition to his efforts in the project of the Arab clearing system, Opportunities for intra-Arab investments and trade and the use of Arab currencies, and its contribution to advancing the Arab banking process.




The Award is the highest award awarded by the Union of Arab Banks in the Arab World. The award was granted by the Chairman and members of the Executive Committee of the Union of Arab Banks during its meeting in Beirut, Lebanon on Thursday 04/10/2018. The Board of Directors of the Union of Arab Banks will be presented to Dr. Al-Humaidi during the opening of the annual Arab Banking Conference 2018, which will be held by the Union in Beirut on 15/11/2018 under the patronage of HE Saad Al-Hariri, entitled "Public-Private Partnership to Achieve Sustainable Development Goals" , And the presence Arab and international rally of leaders of Arab and international banks.




 Wissam Fattouh, Secretary-General of the Union of Arab Banks, said that the Union is present in all financial, banking and economic circles, both Arab and international, as one of the most influential Arab organizations, in keeping up with our societies and following up on their affairs and preserving their rights in all international forums.


The importance of economic and political stability, the role of financial inclusion, the financing of small and medium enterprises, combating money laundering and the financing of terrorism, stressing that the Union N the first dealing with among the first on legislation and international laws imposed on banks through training and research procedures has been credited with supporting the ability of our society to keep up banking legislation and deal with them consciously.




Wissam Fattouh affirmed that the city of Beirut, which has become a favorite and honor of the guest, and opened its forums to discuss the affairs and issues of our Arab banking and economic issues, is a high-end conference city, especially for the conferences and forums of the Union of Arab Banks.
