ChrisC:  I have formulated something from one of my favorite literary characters, Sherlock Holmes. 

Sherlock says “How often have I said to you that when you have eliminated the impossible, whatever remains, however improbable, must be the truth?” 

ISIS is no longer a problem, there is safety and security, enough that an oil rig operator I know that said he would never go back is going back, a fully formed government (or just about), they have sanctions off of them and assets returned and the full support of the whole World. 

 The only explanation that I have been able to come up with is that they are so stinking corrupt that they are refusing to do it because they will not be able to steal the children's candy and take the lunch money from the old people in wheelchairs under the new system. 





They are so hooked on siphoning off money from the auctions that they don't care if the people have a roof over their head, water or electricity. 

It is like I have said before, there is only one thing these kind of people understand and it is not a hug.

 I believe the vast majority of Iraqi's are good people, and those that are corrupt in power have now been neutered. 

Corralling all the corruption has certainly taken longer than anyone probably expected, but I do believe we have a pretty firm handle on that now and finally finish the process. 

I believe they have had a target date in mind for a while now, but we simply have not arrived at that date just yet.  Let's see what these next few days/weeks bring us and what they choose to reveal publicly as this year begins to wind down.  I think we will all be very happy before too much longer, IMO.

Samson:  The arrival of the governor of the Central Bank to parliament

The governor of the Central Bank Ali al-Alak, on Monday, to the House of Representatives. 

The correspondent of "Al-Ghad Press", that the governor of the Central Bank Ali Al-Alq arrived, just before, to the House of Representatives.  He added that this came to discuss the situation of the Central Bank and the Iraqi dinar during today's session.

The Secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party and the MP for the alliance of Raed Fahmi said on Monday that the parliamentary session today will host the governor of the Central Bank after the process of signing the new currency, which led to the escalation of questions about whether the paragraph is legal and what the reasons for the development of the signature.   LINK

The House of Representatives in its regular session held now with the Governor of the Central Bank Ali Mohsen Ismail three important topics.
 
A parliamentary source told the {Euphrates News} today that "the most prominent points that will be discussed by the Parliament with the Governor of the Central Bank at its meeting today is the {building of the Central Bank, and put the name of the governor on the currency, and the currency auction.    LINK

Samson:  Relations from Parliament: Iraq's budget lacks support for local industries

The governor of the Central Bank Ali Al-Alak, Monday, that the public balances of Iraq are free of support for Iraqi industries. 

Al-Alak said during his attendance at the parliament session that "the public attributes of Iraq are lacking support for the Iraqi industries." 

He added that "the central bank weighed between the financial options," noting that "despite pressure and impossible targets, but the central bank maintained the exchange rate."   LINK

Sunkissed:  Very exciting domino effect that we are witnessing

I think it is quite SIGNIFICANT that the HOR is going to include the DIRECTOR of the Iraqi Trade Bank in their meeting on Monday!

That particular bank finances a whopping 80% of ALL IRAQI BUSINESS TRADE and they would like to "expand their footprint in Turkey, Iraq's largest trading partner." Because, there has been talk of this Iraqi bank, hoping to BUY a commercial bank in Turkey, because of the weak lira. Hmmm

But there's more to this story, that may involve the reinstatement of the dinar:

"The Trade Bank of Iraq (TBI) also plans to open its first overseas branch in Saudi Arabia in the first quarter of 2019, having got the required approvals." And they expect trade between Saudi Arabia and Iraq to DOUBLE - BY - 2019!! (not in 2019, but by 2019)

And then talk about INVESTORS:

"The end of September, the bank launched an investment fund in Iraq, targeting corporate clients and high net-worth individuals. The $25 million fund will be raised to $100 million to target investors across the Gulf." This sounds like much of the groundwork that we couldn't see (we don't know what we don't know).

So, I'm just thinking that perhaps the fact that the Director of the TBI is attending this meeting, may be one of the reasons it was moved up to Monday??

Samson:   Saleh: Convergence between Kuwait and Iraq will contribute to the stability of the region

President Barham Saleh said that cooperation and rapprochement between Iraq and Kuwait will contribute to the stability of the region. "Saleh met Kuwait on Sunday evening, Kuwaiti Prime Minister Jaber Al-Mubarak Al-Hamad Al-Sabah," a statement from his office said. 

The president stressed that "the rapprochement and cooperation witnessed by the relations between the two brotherly countries will contribute to the consolidation of the pillars of peace and stability in the region, and will play an important role in bringing prosperity to its children."  He pointed out that "the relations between the two countries are typical relations, calling for the development and expansion of its horizons to include all fields." 

In turn, the Kuwaiti Prime Minister expressed his country's determination to further develop relations between the two sides, reiterating Kuwait's support for Iraq and its desire to enhance cooperation and coordination with him.  Sabah also hosted a dinner in honor of Barham Salih.   LINK

Samson:  Saleh ends his visit to Kuwait and returns to Baghdad

 12th November, 2018

President Barham Salih and his accompanying delegation ended their one-day official visit to Kuwait on Monday. 

"We leave Kuwait after a busy day of meetings, thank HH Prince Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah and our brothers for their warm welcome and to promote our bilateral relationship and to take part in realizing the common interests of economic and security stability, And the exclusion of our country and our region of the absurd conflicts that burned plowing and offspring. 

The President of the Republic held an official visit to the State of Kuwait as part of a Gulf tour in response to official invitations.   LINK


Samson:  Saleh arrives in UAE

The President of the Republic, Barham Salih, arrived Monday in Abu Dhabi on an official visit to the United Arab Emirates. Abu Dhabi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan was received by the President of the Republic and the UAE Armed Forces received 21 artillery rounds. 

Saleh is scheduled to meet with a number of UAE officials to discuss the development of relations between the two brotherly countries and the most important regional and international developments.  This visit comes within the framework of the President of the Gulf, where President Saleh had concluded an official visit to the State of Kuwait this morning and was paid off by the Emir of Kuwait Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah.  The visit of President Barham Salih to the Gulf to open new horizons of relations and fruitful cooperation between Iraq and the region.   LINK

Samson:  Iran leading participation in Baghdad Int’l Exhibition

The Islamic Republic of Iran with participation of 60 companies in an area of 1200 square meters, is leading the presence in Baghdad International Expo.

Speaking on the sidelines of the visit of Iran's Pavilion at the International Trade Fair of Iraq, Iran’s trade advisor in Iraq Nasser Behzad announced, “In the 45th Baghdad International Fair, 60 Iranian companies have showcased their products in various sectors of food, construction, sanitation, carpets, saffron, machinery, steel and fittings, automobile equipment, tubes and profiles, plastic industry, agricultural and conversion products, technical and engineering services, production lines machineries and so on.

Iran's trade advisor to Iraq said, “The pavilion was authorized by Iran's Trade Development Organization with the presence of Iran's ambassador to Iraq and the secretary-general of Iran-Iraq Joint Chamber of Commerce and other officials of the two countries.

He added that this year, 18 countries of Iran, Iraq, Syria, Pakistan, Japan, Jordan, France, Germany, Indonesia, Italy, Palestine, South Korea, Taiwan, Hungary, Ukraine, Spain, India and Tunisia, are participating in the fair which the highest participation rate belongs to Iran.  LINK
