A member of the Foreign Relations Committee, Ribwar Karim, disclosed on Wednesday (April 17, 2019) three important files to be discussed at a conference of parliaments of neighboring countries of Iraq.

Karim said in a press statement that "holding this conference in Baghdad is a very important step at this stage, after Iraq has become a center for the unification of the efforts of neighboring countries."

He added that "the conference will discuss three important topics and axes concerning the interest of Iraq and neighboring countries, namely security, and the return of regional arrangements for the purpose of making decisions and important steps towards building a safe area in the next phase, and development and economic and political cooperation between these countries."

"This is the first time that Iraq has taken this step, which is a blessed step because the meeting of these countries at one table will be a step towards convergence between them and therefore will come after many important steps during the next phase."
