Think Tanks Forum of the OIC Countries” will be organized and hosted by Iraqi Prime Group for Strategic Studies in cooperation with TASAM (Turkish Asian Center for Strategic Studies) on 21-22 February 2014 in Baghdad, the capital city of the Republic of Iraq.

Today the social, economic and political situation of the OIC member countries tenders a scenery full of problems. Regarding the issues such as freedoms, welfare, justice, education, environment; it is visible that OIC countries have fallen behind accepted international criterions. Ideological and sectarian confrontations have grown into external and internal problem piles. On the other hand, the developments in the fields of communication and transportation; democratization and globalization have made all kinds of discrepancies more visible and have paved the way for the show up of the identities never heard before. Under the pressure of urbanization and thanks to technological developments and increasing possibilities in education, communication and transformation, interaction among civilizations, countries and social groups has intensified and has made developing of a culture of co-existence mandatory ..

The Fifth Conference of the Strategic Studies and tanks thoughts on Friday and Saturday with the participation of 57 countries

Announced the Preparatory Committee of the Fifth Conference for Strategic Studies and reservoirs ideas of the conference on Friday and Saturday 21-22/2/2014.

According to the Public Service Commissions of the Office of Government Communications and Information in the General Secretariat of the Council of Ministers that the Preparatory Committee set up under it Diwani No. 8 of 2014 confirmed that the conference will host the (57) state as well as a number of researchers from non-governmental organizations.
