The Iraqi government takes a number of economic decisions

The Council of Ministers held its regular weekly session on Tuesday under the chairmanship of Prime Minister Adel Abdul-Mahdi. The latter presented at the beginning of the session a summary of the latest political developments and the situation in the region.

The Cabinet issued a number of resolutions, including the approval of the recommendations of the Ministerial Council on Energy on the annual contract plan with companies of the Ministry of Industry and Minerals.

The Council of Ministers approved the recommendations of the Committee on Economic Affairs concerning the amendment and updating of the Cabinet Decision No. 347 of 2015 on the mechanism of payment in installments.

The Council of Ministers approved the recommendation of the Ministerial Council on Energy to determine the salaries of contractors with the Ministry of Oil as a security guard to secure the Mansuriya gas field, and agreed to determine the wages of contractors with winning public companies in the Ministry of Oil.

And briefed the Council of Ministers on the draft rehabilitation of the area surrounding Baghdad International Airport and voted on it.

The Council approved the evaluation of the resolutions and directives issued by the former Council of Ministers for an extended period from 1/7/2018 to 24/10/2018.

The Cabinet discussed the allocation of a percentage of fees and fines collected to support the Social Protection Fund in the Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs.
