G20 Finance ministers & Central Bank Governors' meeting - Mexico City, Mexico
G20 country map
Wikipedia - Marcin n

The "group of twenty" finance ministers and central bank governors, representing the world's 19 major economies plus the European Union, meet in Mexico City for two days.

Mexico, chairing the G20 meetings in 2012, is the country most dependent on trade with the other G20 countries. It has stated its priorities as being economic stabilization, strengthening the financial system, improving financial architecture and financial inclusion, enhancing food security, understanding the effects of volatile commodity and energy prices, and promoting green growth.

Important topics discussed this year include bolstering the IMF's resources, improving financial oversight and regulation (including shadow banking) and creating better risk management tools to deal with the economic effects of natural disasters.
