Iraq takes over the presidency of the Arab League delegates

The 15th Ordinary Session of the Council of the League of Arab States will begin at the level of permanent delegates chaired by Iraq to succeed Somalia, in preparation for the same session at the ministerial level scheduled for next Tuesday, which will discuss the overall issues of Arab action politically. And economically and socially.

According to the agenda, the new session will focus on eight main items that will be discussed by the Council and will submit reports and draft resolutions on them to the meeting of Arab foreign ministers. Occupied Jerusalem as well as following the developments of the settlements, the wall, the Intifada, prisoners, refugees, UNRWA, development, supporting the budget of the State of Palestine and the steadfastness of the Palestinian people, and the report and recommendations of the Supervisors Conference On the affairs of the Palestinians in the Arab host countries.

It will also include a report on the work of the head office and the regional office of the boycott of Israel, a topic on Arab water security and Israel's theft of water in the occupied Arab territories, and the situation of the occupied Syrian Arab Golan.

The session will also discuss other issues dealing with solidarity with the Lebanese Republic and the developments in Syria, Libya and Yemen.

It will also discuss a unified Arab position on Turkish forces' violation of Iraqi sovereignty, support for peace and development in the Republic of Sudan, support for the Federal Republic of Somalia, support for the United Republic of Comoros, and peaceful resolution of the Eritrean-Djibouti border dispute.

The session will also discuss Iranian interventions in the internal affairs of Arab countries, the security of navigation and energy supplies in the Arab Gulf region, the dangers of Israeli armaments on Arab national security, international peace and the establishment of a zone free of nuclear weapons and other weapons of mass destruction in the Middle East.
