Parliamentary Finance: a semi-final agreement regarding the region's share in the budget


The Parliamentary Finance Committee revealed that a semi-final agreement had been reached regarding the share of the Kurdistan region in the budget of two thousand and twenty-one, expected to be voted on next week.

Committee member Ikhlas Al-Dulaimi said in press statements that the political blocs had reached an almost final agreement on a new formula regarding the region's share in the budget. She indicated that the agreement satisfies Baghdad and Erbil, and revealed the existence of a common understanding on oil imports, other revenues and the region's share.

Al-Dulaimi expects to vote on the budget in the middle of next week, after writing the final agreement within the tenth article of the budget and finalizing the drafting of tables and other attachments.
