Finance Committee: The Government recognizes the difficulty to submit final accounts

BAGHDAD / JD / .. Parliamentary Finance Committee ruled the government's ability on the final accounts for the previous years, revealing the existence of several outstanding issues preclude submission, most notably the exchange of money without legal basis.

Said committee member MP for the Liberal bloc Magda Tamimi's / JD /: "The committee formed by the General Secretariat of the Council of Ministers confirmed the difficulty of providing the final accounts of the budgets since 2004 and until this year, and noting that the Committee revealed outstanding problems these accounts need to be resolved five or four years. "

Tamimi said, that the money disbursed by the government since the 9 years the outstanding problems, some of which had acted with legal authority, and other funds spent and destroyed documents, that there is money lost in conjunction with the U.S. occupation of Iraq in 2003.

It showed Tamimi, resolving these issues with all ministries and departments not linked to the Ministry, is not an easy process in which many details need to study and follow-up.

The MP said: Our financial statements and reports we will use them to until Alqzaiat resolved outstanding accounts, noting that work needs to close the files damaged drained funds, and write-off that has been spent without any legal basis, and open a new page and complete the final accounts.
