Parliamentary Legal Committee approve the proposed amendment to the Justice and Accountability Law

The Parliamentary Legal Committee approved the proposed amendment to the Justice and Accountability Law submitted by the Justice and Accountability Commission to be put on a parliamentary Parliament for the first reading in preparation for approval.

Said Raad Dahlaki a member of the Parliamentary Legal Committee on Saturday: "The Legal Committee and the majority of the members agreed to the amendment being is contrary to the Constitution and laws."

He added: "The Justice and Accountability Commission in turn will raise the law to the Presidency for a degree at a meeting next Monday for the first reading in preparation for a vote," but did not elaborate on the nature of the amendments in the law.

The meeting was held under the chairmanship of Osama Najafi attend his two deputies Qusay al-Suhail and Aref Tayfur in Constitutional Hall.



He dedicated the meeting to demonstrate the final positions of the blocks parliamentary on Rules (general amnesty, the Federal Court, the amendment anti-terrorism law, amending the matter and justice) before being submitted to a vote at a meeting next Monday, meeting also discussed the amendment of the law of the mandate of the three presidencies.



The President of the Council during the meeting that these laws need to be a strong political will and broad consensus by all the blocks within the Council for a vote at a meeting next Monday "to send a positive message to the Iraqi people," calling blocs to resolve the position of these laws during the next two days.



Legal Committee called for a meeting with the heads and representatives of parliamentary blocs to discuss the amendments demanded by some of the blocks on amnesty laws and the Federal Court and the issue of justice and inclusion within these laws and voted upon at the meeting of the Council on Monday.
