BRUSSELS (WAM)
Ratified by the European Parliament, yesterday, on the Partnership and Cooperation Agreement between the EU and Iraq, to become effective.
He said, in a statement issued in this regard, that the agreement signed in May this year and a 10-year renewable term, will give impetus to bilateral relations in broad sectors ranging from trade and investment to development. Under the agreement, the two ministers will hold an annual meeting to review progress in the areas of democracy and the rule of law and protection of human rights and fundamental freedoms, and the fight against terrorism and weapons proliferation.
