Twilight News / election commission announced, Sunday, not to postpone local elections in all of Anbar and Nineveh, which is witnessing protests for more than two months.

Commission President Serbst Mustafa's "Twilight News", "The Commission held a meeting on Sunday to discuss the issue of local elections in Anbar, Mosul, and after discussing the situation there, it was decided not to postpone the elections there, and proceed to hold them as scheduled."

"The Commission discussed the preparations for the conduct of the electoral process, and confirmed its ability to move as a decision in 14 provinces."

The Council demanded Anbar province officially the Electoral Commission for elections to postpone local council elections indefinitely because of the demonstrations taking place in the province.

The Commission says that all the logistical and technical procedures for election of the Anbar province completed and there is no delay to take place on schedule.
