Kobler had been announced from Basra late last month for resolving the issue of the demarcation of the land border between Iraq and Kuwait, which remained stuck for decades.

He pointed out that "the theme of Umm Qasr is for Iraq in general, and we'll go to follow the excesses and then we will raise a report to Mr. Sadr for suitable position is taken by directing the Iraqi government to take a decisive stand to ensure the rights of the Iraqi people."

In turn, said a member of the Iraqi parliament for the Liberal bloc in Basra, Hussein Al-Mansouri's "Twilight News" that "it's not the subject of the demarcation of the border it is a rape of the border, and the agreement signed by the previous regime at the time and signed to end the war, not the demarcation of the border."

He pointed out that UN Resolution No. 833 unfairly against Iraqis were not a party.

The UN Security Council issued in 1993, Resolution No. 833 which provides for the demarcation of the border between Kuwait and Iraq and along about 216 km.

However, many Iraqi officials objected after the fall of the former regime in 2003 on the resolution, and said that the decision imposed on Iraq under international pressure and in unusual circumstances.
