Parliament HR Committee, Swedish Ambassador discuss political situation in Iraq

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) -The parliament Human Rights Committee discussed with the Swedish Ambassador to Iraq, Jorgen Lindstrom, the current political crisis in Iraq and the demonstrators’ demands.

A statement by the Committee reported “The head of the HR Committee, Salim al-Jubouri, met at the Committee’s building, the Swedish Ambassador where they discussed the political crisis of Iraq and the demands of the protests in the Iraqi provinces.”

“Jubouri stressed the necessity to consider these demands as being one of the human rights which should be considered if they are not against the law,” the statement added.

The statement quoted Jubouri as saying “The peaceful solutions are best way to get rid of any crisis weeps the Iraqi street, highlighting the importance of the cooperation between the parliament HR Committee and the Swedish embassy to support the human rights file in Iraq.
