The Secretary-General of the United Nations expressed his happiness receipt of this agreement and satisfaction with the improvement and development of the relationship between the two countries, which he described as moving in the "right direction."

He said Iraqi Ambassador Mohammed Ali Hakim, that "for the irreversible" for the development of relations with Kuwait in all fields.

For his part, the Kuwaiti Ambassador Mansour Al-Otaibi on the importance of this agreement because it reaffirms its commitment to a two-state resolution 833 issued by the Security Council in 1993 regarding the demarcation of the international boundary between the two countries and respect for international law relating to navigation International, noting that the agreement "the Khawr Abd Allah" strengthen relations between the two countries.

He pointed out that Article 102 of the UN Charter provides that every treaty or international convention held by any member of the international organization "must be registered with the Secretariat and are published as soon as possible."

Al-Otaibi confirmed the presence of "design of the leadership of the two countries to improve bilateral relations and enhancing them in various fields, and to serve the interests of the peoples of the two brotherly countries."



He pointed out that the agreements signed at the third session of the meetings of the Joint Ministerial Committee, which was held in Kuwait on 15 and December 16 have been ongoing since the signing of important bilateral agreements in the fields of investment and tourism.
