She said in a press statement yesterday: "The Iraqi banks need to restructure and activate its role in the Iraqi market for securities for the advancement of the Iraqi economy," asserting: it can not be the advancement of the economy of any country without the advancement of the private banking sector.
"The advancement of the banking sector requires legislation, a series of laws and resolutions in support of the banking environment appropriate to ensure freedom of movement to the pattern of the banking sector free, also requires government support in strengthening the faith the role of private banks and its importance."
And called Sumaisem, the central bank to provide government guarantees for private banks to strengthen the expansion of the banking business in a way the size of the private banking sector within the Iraqi economy.
