Baghdad (news) .. Met with the President of the Supreme Council of al-Hakim of the Special Representative of the Secretary-General of the United Nations in Iraq, Martin Kobler and discussed ways to continue to provide support to the work of the Electoral Commission's new Iraq and the issue of forming the Human Rights Commission, in addition to the discussion of outstanding issues such as oil and gas law.

A statement of the Supreme Islamic Council has received the Agency (news) a copy of it on Monday: Hakim met Kubler and discussed with him the latest developments on the Iraqi arena, indicating the following: Hakim stressed the need to derive solutions to the current political crisis in the country from inside the Iraqi house.

For his part, Kubler: concern about the political crisis experienced by the country, stressing that the UN does not interfere in the internal problems of any State.

He added that: it was agreed to continue to provide support for the work of the Electoral Commission in its new form and the subject of the Human Rights Commission, as well as discuss some of the other outstanding issues such as passing certain laws, including the oil and gas law.

UN envoy stressed: the need for better government services to citizens and not to be the current crisis as a pretext in the lag in the progress and development of Iraq and the welfare of his people in different areas and fields.
He Kubler to: United Nations to continue its discussions with all parties to the Iraqi scene, indicating that the continuation of the current crisis is not in the interest of Iraq and its people.
