Economic affairs specialist: the Kurdistan region on the verge of crisis

BAGHDAD / NINA / An economic affairs specialist, Dargham Muhammad Ali said the Kurdistan region on the verge of a big investment crisis, warning of an exodus of investment companies operating in the oil sector in Kurdistan.
He told the National Iraqi News Agency / NINA / today "the worsening security situation in the northern regions, stop Baiji refinery and high fuel prices prompted most companies to withdraw their capital from the Kurdistan region, stressing, that the migration of foreign companies from the region will reflect negatively on the oil sector investment."
It is mentioned that the price of petrol reached 1250 dinars per liter in the province in addition that some foreign companies have withdrew their capital as a result of the deteriorating in security situation in the northern regions of Iraq.
