Kurds: most of the outstanding issues were resolved with Baghdad

MP for the Kurdistan Alliance Sirwan Abdullah, said that most of the problems between the province and the center has been resolved, after the recent agreement between the governments of Baghdad and Erbil

Abdullah said in a press statement that "the problems that were between the province and the center, mostly solved radically," noting that "the budget for 2015 did not include provisions for punitive Kurdistan region," pointing out that "things between Baghdad and Erbil are going for the better."

He added that the Sirwan "Steps to resolve the outstanding issues between Baghdad and Erbil was good, but there are other things we hope to solve at another time," adding that "Article 140 has not been solved until now, as well as the issue of the export of oil."

The federal government headed by Prime Minister Haider al-Abadi, replaced most of the outstanding problems with the Kurdistan Regional Government headed by Nechirvan Barzani, where he has led the government agreed to pay Abadi, the province and the salaries of the Peshmerga, against payment of 250 000 barrels of Kurdistan fields back to the public treasury in Baghdad.
