World Bank confirms plans for reconstruction of liberated areas

The World Bank on Sunday called on the Jordanian private sector to build alliances with its counterparts in the Arab countries, allowing it to expand beyond the borders through reconstruction projects in Iraq, Libya and Yemen, stressing the existence of serious plans for the reconstruction of liberated areas.

"Countries that require reconstruction are in need of huge sums," said World Bank deputy director for the Middle East Abdullah Dardiri in a press briefing. "There are important dialogues underway for the reconstruction of Libya and the economic situation and programs in Libya.
