US President Donald Trump on Monday signed a presidential decree extending the state of emergency for another year.
A state of emergency was declared in the United States following the events of 11 September 2001.
"As the threat of terrorism persists, the state of emergency declared on September 14, 2001, in addition to the rights and powers granted to counter this situation, must remain in effect after September 14, 2018," the White House said in a statement.
On September 11, 2001, suicide bombers from al-Qaeda seized four passenger planes. Two planes, including the World Trade Center in New York, were supposed to blow up and the other two planes blew up the White House. LINK

The Unified National Card Department in Anbar announced on Monday the completion of more than 2,000 unified cards across Anbar.
"The unified card department in Falluja has completed 2,000 national identity cards since the opening of the department about a month ago and in a record time," said Col. Khamis Mishaan al-Dulaimi, director of the unified national card department.
He added that "the cadres of the Department are working continuously to complete the transactions of citizens to obtain the unified national card, which is launched for the first time in the province," noting that "the process of obtaining the card for the residents of the city depends on the mechanism of pre-booking through the Internet by filling out the form of the process of access On the card. The Department of Welfare of Disabled People and Special Needs in the province of Dhi Qar, on Tuesday, the department direct the disbursement of the salary of the civilian appointee of the former beneficiaries of 1457 beneficiaries.
A statement by the Department received / Mawazin News, a copy of it that "the Department of Welfare of the disabled and special needs in the province of Dhi Qar has begun to pay the salaries of the civilian beneficiary of the former beneficiaries of 1457 beneficiaries, starting from Wednesday at 9 am to 2 pm In the Forum Sumer Sports Center in the city of Nasiriyah."
