Twilight News / diplomatic source revealed early Monday, a renewed claim the International Monetary Fund for the Iraqi government بالإيفاء promises and the removal of subsidies on the prices of many materials, including petroleum and energy along with the ration card.

Said the source, who asked not to be named for "Twilight News", that "the International Monetary Fund renewed its call for Iraq to lift subsidies on oil derivatives, energy and ration card."

The source continued that "this support includes petroleum and energy and the ration card, was the Iraqi government had requested period until the improvement of income of the Iraqi citizen."

The source explained that "Iraq still needs the support of the International Monetary Fund in many aspects, including upgrading the fragile economic reality experienced by the country."

The IMF had demanded, earlier, the Iraqi government to lift subsidies on oil products and energy, as well as the removal of subsidies on the ration card as a condition for providing loans to Iraq.

The International Monetary Fund (IMF) had announced the extension of the period the financial assistance program to Iraq for an additional seven months, which offers a total assistance of $ 3.6 billion.

The Fund approved in February of 2010 loan to cover the needs of the country's balance of payments, and has since awarded two tranches of assistance in October 2010 and March 2011.
