Baghdad and Prague discuss strengthening bilateral relations in the oil and energy sector

Oil Minister Ihsan Abdul-Jabbar Ismail stressed, on Monday, the importance of working to enhance investment opportunities for reputable international companies in the Iraqi oil sector

The Ministry of Oil said in a statement, "Oil Minister Ihsan Abdul-Jabbar Ismail received the Ambassador of the Czech Republic in Baghdad Peter Stepanek, and during the meeting, they discussed strengthening bilateral relations between the two countries in the oil and energy sector

Ismail praised "the Iraqi-Czech relations and the importance of working to enhance investment opportunities for sober international companies in the Iraqi oil sector, in a manner that serves common interests

For his part, the Czech ambassador expressed "his country's desire to enhance prospects for joint cooperation with Iraq in all fields," noting "the active role of Czech companies in rehabilitating a number of technical and production units in a number of Iraqi refineries
