Foreign Relations Committee will meet with Deputy Representative of the Secretary General of the United Nations in Iraq

Met with a member of the Foreign Relations Committee, MP Hanan Saeed al-Fatlawi Deputy Representative of the Secretary General of the United Nations in Iraq, Mr. George Boston on Tuesday 3/11/2015 at the Commission's headquarters.

The meeting discussed the role of the UN and its activities in Iraq and neighboring countries as well as its efforts in rebuilding conflict-affected and displaced people to their areas.

On the other hand, the two sides discussed the Iraqi government's efforts towards national reconciliation and ways to make it work and the law, justice and accountability package of reforms launched by the Iraqi government recently.

And for its part Fatlawi stressed the importance of intensifying international support for Iraq in its war against terrorism.
