The Central Bank discusses the performance of auditors and sets priorities for professional work

The central bank governor Ali al-Alaq on Wednesday discussed the performance of auditors, setting priorities for professional work and cooperation to raise the level of control work.
Al-Alaq held a meeting with the President of the Federal Audit Bureau and the President of the Iraqi Association of Certified Public Accountants to discuss the performance of auditors regarding the accounting disclosure of banks and non-bank financial institutions on their financial statements and ways of upgrading. "Priorities have been set for professional work and cooperation to raise the level of supervisory work at a prudent level in order to ensure better performance of banks and non-bank financial institutions, anticipating any malpractice that may occur before disclosure and taking the necessary measures to address them," the statement said.
