Samurai: The Central Bank Governor's answers were neither professional nor convincing

BAGHDAD / A member of the parliamentary finance committee, Muthanna al-Samarrai, said on Friday that hosting the governor of the Central Bank, the Board of Directors of the bank and the director of the Iraqi Commercial Bank under the dome of parliament revealed many "shortcomings" in performance.
"The hosting of the Governor of the Central Bank and the Board of Directors of the Bank and the Director of the Iraqi Commercial Bank (TBI) with him under the dome of Parliament revealed a lot of shortcomings in performance," he said, adding that "confusion was clear in providing answers unconvincing to the House of Representatives, Which has increased the confusion of public opinion and provoked rather than to clarify the facts.

"The financial problems and administrative procedures in the work of the Iraqi Commercial Bank (TBI) are much greater than those of the Central Bank of Iraq," he said. The public opinion is not concerned about the size of the problems in that bank and called for disclosure, and all competent bodies to stop the wheel of corruption and waste in public money and not to ignore it.

The House of Representatives hosted, a few days ago, the Governor of the Central Bank and Board of Directors of the Bank and the Director of the Commercial Bank of Iraq (TBI).
