Closure of the Conference of Finance and Commerce in Baghdad

Concluded in Baghdad on Thursday of the Conference of Finance and Trade, who discussed the topics of Iraq, most notably the classification of credit and supporting Iraqi economic sector and facilitate the entry of foreign investors.

Also addressed the conference meet the electricity needs and conditions of the financing of infrastructure projects, in addition to research guarantees the successful partnership of both the public and private sectors.

They also discussed the role of trade and investment in economic development and the foundations of finance and risk mitigation mechanisms from the viewpoint of the international investor.

The conference was launched Wednesday in the presence of the representative of the U.S. Department of Commerce Cameron F. Kerry, and representatives from the World Bank, Citibank and Bank of JP Morgan and the U.S. Agency for International Development and the World Trade Organization and the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development as well as officials of financial and economic institutions in Iraq.
