During a meeting with the Special Representative of the Secretary General of the United Nations in Iraq, the speaker of parliament: the security and economic stability depends on political stability

House Speaker Dr. Salim al-Jubouri, received in his office, on Saturday, the Special Representative of the Secretary General of the United Nations in Iraq, Mr. Jan Kubiš.

During the meeting, they discussed developments in the political situation in Iraq and government and parliamentary reforms and national reconciliation file and the role of Parliament in the National Guard and legal accountability and justice legislation.

As it has been discussed internally displaced and displaced persons and international support for carrying out relief file through the rehabilitation of their areas liberated from the grip of the terrorist organization Daash.

The head of the House of Representatives that the stability of the political reality in the country that would reflect positively on the security and economic situations which is compatible upon by all parties.

He stressed that the parliament is keen to pass the laws that meet the aspirations of all the ingredients, particularly with regard to national reconciliation file or support the reforms implemented in accordance with the Constitution.

The price of sovereignty and the UN role in relief to the displaced and displaced persons, especially that Iraq needs international possibilities dolly to provide help and support them.

For his part, Mr. Kubiš said the UN was keen to Parliament seeking support efforts to achieve a comprehensive national reconciliation, and support for Iraq in the completion of important laws which would restore stability to the country.
